Silverback Adventure

DAY 1: Entebbe - Kampala

Arrival at Entebbe Airport where you will be welcomed by a representative from Uganda side. You will then be transferred to your hotel in Kampala.

Dinner and Overnight at either Cassia lodge for up market (BB), Hotel Africana for midrange (BB) or Le Bougainville Hotel for budget (BB).

Bwindi

Day 2: Kampala – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After an early breakfast drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park-home of the endangered mountain gorillas. This will be relatively a long drive with stops at places of interest including the Equator, royal drum makers and lunch en-route at Igongo Cultural Center. You will then proceed to Bwindi.

Dinner and Overnight at either Gorilla safari lodge for up market, Silver back lodge for mid range or Buhoma Community Rest camp for budget accommodation. (FB)

Day 3: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Arise early today and prepare for the highlight of your safari, an unforgettable encounter with the Gentle Giants of Bwindi! After a hearty breakfast, transfer to the national park offices where you will be allocated a gorilla family in groups of 8 as well as a gorilla tracking guide. After a pre-tracking briefing by your guide touching on the gorillas generally, your assigned gorilla family as well as appropriate safety precautions, you drive to the trailhead for the start of a thrilling adventure. Expect to walk between 2 and 8 hours in steep and sometimes muddy conditions with rain overhead, which can be tough and require a degree of (average) fitness. However the thrill of coming face to face with a giant Mountain Gorilla silverback completely makes up for the effort!

DAY 4: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - Kampala

After an early breakfast we will depart Bwindi for Kampala arriving early evening. You will then retire to your hotel

Dinner and Overnight at either Cassia lodge for up market (BB), Hotel Africana for midrange (BB) or Le Bougainville Hotel for budget (BB).

DAY 5: Kampala - Entebbe

You will be dropped at the airport in time to catch your flight back home.

The pearl of Africa has a very strong cultural heritage well-endowed with different cultural and historical sites, diverse landscape encompasses the snow-capped Rwenzori Mountains and immense Lake Victoria. Its abundant wildlife includes chimpanzees as well as rare birds. Remote Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a renowned mountain gorilla sanctuary. Murchison Falls National Park in the northwest is known for its 43m-tall waterfall and wildlife such as hippos. Without doubt one of the world’s greatest wildlife experiences is the thrill of a close encounter with the reclusive mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. Uganda has the best chance of viewing these delightful apes with the fact that it boasts two parks where they have been habituated for human.

Visas

A Ugandan Visa may be applied at a consular, high commission or Embassy of Uganda in your home country or on arrival at Entebbe International Airport, Uganda – our major entry point as long you have your credentials and a few of the following vaccinations (most of which are optional)

You can acquire a visa at Uganda's High Commission or Embassy in your country of residence or on arrival at Entebbe International Airport, if you travel with all your relevant documentation and identification. East Africa Tourist Visa

The East Africa Tourist Visa will allow travel between Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda with the same multiple entry visa. This visa is the result of a joint initiative made by the Heads of States of the respective partner countries to boost regional travel and create opportunities for tourists to explore the diversity of East Africa. Travelers from any country can obtain a multiple entry visa that will allow entry to the Republic of Kenya, the Republic of Rwanda, and the Republic of Uganda for tourism over period of 90 days.

  • o Eligible Person: Tourist, no restrictions on country of origin
  • o Dependents: All persons must apply in their own right.
  • o Travel Documents: All tourists must have an official and genuine international passport, valid for not less than 6 months from the time of visa application.
  • o Visa Fees: 100 USD per visa
  • o Validity of Visa: 90 days
  • o Single of Multiple Entry: Multiple entry to all three countries
  • o Work or no Work: Work is not permitted
  • o Visa Extension: An East Africa Tourist Visa shall not be extended
  • o Country of Entry: The holder of the East Africa Tourist Visa shall enter the region from the country that issued the visa and move within the two other countries without applying for another visa or paying another visa fee.
  • o Movement of persons: The holder shall also be allowed to move out of the Republic of Kenya, the Republic of Rwanda, and the Republic of Uganda and return without having to pay for another visa.   • Yellow Fever Certificate

    Yellow fever vaccine is essential. Hepatitis A and B, Mengitis, tetanus and typhoid are also recommended if you expect to get closer to wild animals.
