Hotels in Uganda 

Standards of comfort and cuisine have improved considerably as Uganda has become a more established tourist destination. Bwindi Camp

Volcanoes Bwindi Camp is a simple mobile camp with basic facilities just outside Bwindi National Park, overlooking a stream and looking directly into the forest with various species of monkeys and birds. Access is via Kayonza airstrip - (an hour and half from Entebbe - or a day’s drive from Kampala) or for larger planes via the tarmac airstrip at Kisoro or via Ishasha.

Mount Gahinga Rest Camp

Mount Gahinga Rest Camp nestles in the shadow of the dramatic Virunga volcanoes, on the borders of Uganda, Rwanda and Congo on the edge of Mgahinga National Park. Accommodation is in four thatched bandas or three tents, with private facilities. Access is via Kisoro airfield – an hour and a half’s flight from Entebbe – or a day and a half’s drive from Kampala. 

Gorilla Forest Camp

This is a luxury tented camp in the rain forest, perched on the side of a mountain in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park . It features 8 spacious tents with two queen-sized beds each and a private bathroom with a bathtub and view of the surrounding rain forest.

A rustic 12-bedroom lodge perched on the edge of the Victoria Nile in Murchison Falls National Park.
