Jinja Adventure and Murchison Falls

DAY 1: Entebbe – Jinja

You will be picked up by our representative driver guide from the Entebbe International Airport in the morning and transferred through Kampala to Jinja. As you drive past Kampala to Jinja, If time allows you will visit the Ssezibwa Falls a favorite place of rest and healing for the Kabakas (Kings) of the Buganda Kingdom - it is still a place where people come to seek the old ways.

Dinner and Overnight at either Jinja Nile Resort for up market (FB), 2 friends’ hotel for midrange (FB) or Safari Inn Jinja for budget (BB).

Day 2: Jinja White Water Rafting

After a hearty breakfast you will be dropped off at the base where you will experience one of the many adventures Jinja and the Nile have to offer. Today is going to be about adrenaline and real adventure! Prepare to get wet and wild as you go rafting! After rafting you will return to Kampala for dinner and over night.

Dinner and Overnight at either Cassia lodge for up market (BB), Hotel Africana for midrange (BB) or Le Bougainville Hotel for budget (BB).

Day 3: Kampala - Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast embark on an adventure driving North West through the famous Luwero Triangle via Masindi town. You will be served with Uganda’s beautiful sights and sounds. You will view the different cultures, behaviors and the ways of the diverse tribes in Uganda. You will see their standards of living and the various activities they engage in. You will also see Uganda’s beautiful scenery and the vast wealth of green savannah across large areas. Enroute you will visit Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary where you get track the Rhinos .

Dinner and Overnight at either Paraa Safari Lodge for up market (FB), Murchison Falls River lodge for midrange (FB) or Red chilli rest camp for budget (FB).

DAY 4: Murchison Falls National Park

You will have a morning game drive on the Northern bank. Here you may be able to spot lions, Giraffes, Elephants, Uganda Kobs among others. Return to the lodge for breakfast and lunch. After lunch, a three hour boat trip along the Nile gives assured chance to see and take in the breath-taking view of the thick aggressive waterfalls thrust their force on the rocks at the foot of the waterfall. Hippos, crocodiles, antelopes and aquatic birds can be seen along the shores of the river. For those who trust in their good level of fitness, you will get off the boat and take a hike to the top of the falls. This historic site can only be reached from the south bank. From the top of the falls there are fantastic advantage points that the falls can be viewed from and photographed. It’s really a spectacular scene.

DAY 5: Murchison Falls National Park - Entebbe

You will depart Murchison falls national park and will be dropped at the airport in time for your flight back home.

The pearl of Africa has a very strong cultural heritage well-endowed with different cultural and historical sites, diverse landscape encompasses the snow-capped Rwenzori Mountains and immense Lake Victoria. Its abundant wildlife includes chimpanzees as well as rare birds. Remote Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a renowned mountain gorilla sanctuary. Murchison Falls National Park in the northwest is known for its 43m-tall waterfall and wildlife such as hippos. Without doubt one of the world’s greatest wildlife experiences is the thrill of a close encounter with the reclusive mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. Uganda has the best chance of viewing these delightful apes with the fact that it boasts two parks where they have been habituated for human.

Visas

A Ugandan Visa may be applied at a consular, high commission or Embassy of Uganda in your home country or on arrival at Entebbe International Airport, Uganda – our major entry point as long you have your credentials and a few of the following vaccinations (most of which are optional)

You can acquire a visa at Uganda's High Commission or Embassy in your country of residence or on arrival at Entebbe International Airport, if you travel with all your relevant documentation and identification. East Africa Tourist Visa

The East Africa Tourist Visa will allow travel between Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda with the same multiple entry visa. This visa is the result of a joint initiative made by the Heads of States of the respective partner countries to boost regional travel and create opportunities for tourists to explore the diversity of East Africa. Travelers from any country can obtain a multiple entry visa that will allow entry to the Republic of Kenya, the Republic of Rwanda, and the Republic of Uganda for tourism over period of 90 days.

  • o Eligible Person: Tourist, no restrictions on country of origin
  • o Dependents: All persons must apply in their own right.
  • o Travel Documents: All tourists must have an official and genuine international passport, valid for not less than 6 months from the time of visa application.
  • o Visa Fees: 100 USD per visa
  • o Validity of Visa: 90 days
  • o Single of Multiple Entry: Multiple entry to all three countries
  • o Work or no Work: Work is not permitted
  • o Visa Extension: An East Africa Tourist Visa shall not be extended
  • o Country of Entry: The holder of the East Africa Tourist Visa shall enter the region from the country that issued the visa and move within the two other countries without applying for another visa or paying another visa fee.
  • o Movement of persons: The holder shall also be allowed to move out of the Republic of Kenya, the Republic of Rwanda, and the Republic of Uganda and return without having to pay for another visa.   • Yellow Fever Certificate

    Yellow fever vaccine is essential. Hepatitis A and B, Mengitis, tetanus and typhoid are also recommended if you expect to get closer to wild animals.
