YOUR 16 DAY ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival and pick up to Hotel.
Our professional tour guide will pick you from the airport to the hotel in Entebbe (Optional) and if you had an early arrival at the airport, you can check in, have lunch and then move to Entebbe Botanical Gardens (Optional) where you will be assured to sight a number of bird species and some primates. While at the gardens, you have an encounter with nature and the wilderness with no people around but only immersed in charming sound of the flora and fauna.

Day 2: Transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and Murchison Falls National Park.
You will have breakfast, our professional driver/guide will share some highlights of the journey to Murchison falls National Park; a drive that will take 6-7 hours. Enroute, you will have a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, a home famously known for harboring white Rhinos and a number of bird species; have lunch and then proceed to Murchison falls National Park. The highlights of this park include the thunderous roar of the waters of the Nile; arguably the longest river in the world where it squeezes itself to penetrate through a less than 8m gorge, the rolling plains of Uganda’s largest National Park and you will have the chance of viewing lions, elephants, giraffes, hartebeest, and buffalo, crocodiles, hippos among others. Check in into your accommodation for a good relaxation.

Day 3: A morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise at Murchison falls National Park.
Enjoy your breakfast and thereafter, a professional guide will take you on an early morning game drive where you will have a sight of lions, leopards, elephant, and giraffe and for birders, a number of bird species will be on sight during this drive. Have lunch at the hotel and have some relaxation. You may take an OPTIONAL choice of using the hot air balloon safari instead of a drive on ground.
After some relaxation, you will embark on the journey to the bottom of the falls and where you will sight some Hippos and Crocodiles and some water birds. You can choose to take a hike to the top of the falls. The hike may be a exhausting but the ecstasy on reaching the top is remarkable. Embark to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park.
Depart after breakfast at the hotel for Kibale Forest National Park known for its primates mostly chimpanzees, black and white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkey, Uganda mangabey among others. The journey is lengthy with very attractive scenary with lush green countryside and hills dotted with tea plantations that characterize this part of Uganda. Upon arrival at the accommodation, check in and relax. If time allows,OPTIONAL; you will be taken for a nature walk at Bigodi swamp, have the crater lakes expedition, or even visit Amabere Ga Nyina Mwiru Caves for some cultural/historical insight.

Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking at Kibale
You shall have an early morning breakfast, thereafter; go for chimpanzee tracking where you will interface with chimpanzees at close range for one hour and also interact with other primates like the L’hoest monkey, black and white clonus monkeys among others. The guide will also explain more about the flora and fauna.
Have lunch at the hotel and then move on to discover the beauty of these small crater lakes in the various shaped gentle hills as you take a hike to Lake Nkuruba, interact with the local community and their activities.

Day 6: Tour of Bigodi swamp and Rwenzori viewing.
After your breakfast proceed to Bigodi swamp and eco tourism base which is a community run project and very captivating area known for its primates existence and various species of birds. This area prides in biodiversity among which are several primates’ species like the baboon, black & white colobus monkey. The Bigodi is also prime for bird watchers. Among the major bird species within the sanctuary is the Great Blue Turaco. Conclude the walk, have Lunch and embark on the journey to Kasese town which is at the base of Rwenzori Mountain.

Day 7: Go to the starting point of Mt. Rwenzori hike.
Finish your breakfast and head to the starting point. You will be briefed and proceed with the hike to Sine Camp at 2596m.This is a safe climb for about 6 kilometers. On the hike, you will encounter various flora species, birds and be sure to have a sight of fauna like colobus monkeys and the blue monkeys swinging in the trees. There is always campfire and people hold conversations with guides while at the fire place.

Day 8: Mt. Rwenzori Trekking
After breakfast, trekking begins and you soon enter the bamboo-mimulopsis zone; a steep climb with many high steps. After about 1.8 kilometers you reach Kalalama Camp (3.147m) which is located in the heather–rapanea zone. You will take rest here with a cup of tea and then proceed along the heather zone passing by several streams and waterfalls covered by the typical green moss vegetation. The arrival point of the day is Mutinda Camp at (3.688m) named after the Mutinda Peaks. From here, you can climb further to Mutinda Lookout 3.925m which takes about one and a half hours walk and one hour to descend. The view here is breathtaking as position on moss covered rocks with views across the Rwenzori Mountains, lake George and down to Kasese town.

Day 9: Trekking Mt.Rwenzori from Mutinda Camp to Bugata Camp
This trail is boggy with the typical wet vegetation and tussocks. You go into the Alpine vegetation zone with the existence of groundsel (Senecio adnivalis),the giant lobelias (Lobellia gibberoa), the and the beautiful flora as you cross the Mutinda valley. Later, climb a steep section up to Namusangi Valley (3.840 m) and catch a spectatcular view of the Mutinda Peaks.
You will view of the Weismann’s Peak of Mount Luigi of Savoy which is often covered by snow.

Day 10: Trekking Rwenzori to Weismann’s Peak (4,620m) and descend to Kiharo camp (3460m).
After breakfast, head towards Weismann peak. The trek starts by walking across the hillside below high cliffs above Bugata Lake. Continue around a ridge point to Lake Kopello where you will walk along the edge of the lake which according to researchers the water temperature averages 2˚C. As you climb, you will get excellent views of the four lakes along the valley below. Sometimes use of ropes is required because the solid rock can be iced however on a clear day, u get good views of the peaks like Mt. Speke,Mt.Baker, and Mt.Stanley. In case one is interested in hiking to the highest point,a gentle walk across the moss and dome shaped ridge is sought while descending you take a different route creating a loop.

Day 11: Stage 5: Trekking down Rwenzori and transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP.
Enjoy your breakfast and move down to the base, the driver/guide will be waiting for you. Thereafter you shall be guided to the hotel with in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Queen Elizabeth national park harbors a variety of flora and fauna species and is one of the most visited national parks in Uganda. Queen Elizabeth National Park hosts migratory birds from Europe, Asia and the rest of African that are normally spotted on the shores of Kazinga channel.You will proceed to check in and rest as you await dinner.

Day 12: Have a morning game drive and boat cruise on Kazinga Channel.
Be up early and have your breakfast. Proceed for a morning game drive towards Kasenyi plains, be sure to Cape buffalos, herds of elephants plus lions, leopard which are hard to see among others. Go back to hotel for relaxation and lunch. After lunch, you will straightaway head to Kazinga channel for boat cruise where you will spot crocodiles, hippos and some birds that will be followed by a drive to the lodge after 2 hours of cruising. Return to accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 13: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through Ishasha Sector.
After breakfast, head towards Bwindi through the Ishasha sector famous for its lazy climbing lions. Proceed to Bwindi a home for half of the world’s population of the endangered mountain gorillas. Check in into your accommodation and relax while preparing for the trekking day.

Day 14: Gorilla trekking and heading to Bunyonyi to unwind.
After Breakfast, meet with the head ranger and other visitors for a general briefing on the do’s and don’ts while conducting this memorable trek.
It is during this briefing that you’ll be allocated a specific group of gorillas to track together with a ranger, guide and porter in case you need one to carry your luggage. The trek starts at 8.30am with simple forest hikes through designated trails and depending on the gorilla family, trekking experience can last for about 2-8 hours. The trek may become strenuous depending on the weather and how far the gorillas have moved, but the epic one hour encounter with a habituated family is truly refreshing.
Later, return back to the starting point with fellow trekkers, meet your guide to return to the hotel and check out for Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 15: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park.
Enjoy breakfast and then set off to Lake Mburo National Park. This Park is dotted with different lakes and the largest being Lake Mburo.This lake offers the best moments of bird watching, game viewing like the hippos and crocodiles among others. This is the smallest savannah park in the pearl of Africa-Uganda and the nearest protected area to the capital city of Uganda – Kampala. It harbors zebras, impalas, kob, topis,buffalos among others. If time allows, OPTIONAL; you can take an evening game drive where you sight various fauna species and on a lucky day be ready to spot leopard among others.

Day 16: Nature walk and transfer to Entebbe Airport.
After your breakfast, you shall take a walk in the park with an armed ranger and you will be able to have a close encounter with giraffes, zebras, topi, cape buffalos, antelopes among others. Walk to the top of the hills and enjoy a spectacular view of the lakes surrounding the park. Return to accommodation, check out and embark on the journey back to Entebbe Airport.
