Kibale forest is known as the primate capital of the world that harbor 13 primate species with largest number being chimpanzees; while in the park, you are sure to have sight of threatened Red colobus monkey, L’hoest monkey, black and white clonus monkeys, red tailed monkey ,blue monkey, grey-cheeked managabey, bush baby patto, to mention but a few. You will have a chance for close interface with chimpanzees due to the habituation of the chimpanzees in this park.


The park also harbors over 200 bird species, mammals (bush buck, bush pig among others), primate species, Sitatunga the endangered and most shy antelope specie; while you take a nature walk, be sure to enjoy the beautiful view of Bigodi Swamp, many reptiles, many tree species, nature satisfaction is guaranteed.

3 DAYS KIBALE CHIMPANZEE TRACKING ITENERARY

Day 1: Pick up from Kampala or Airport to Kibale National Park

Our professional guide/driver will pick you up and head to Kibale NP, have a stopover for lunch and then head to hotel where you will check in, have dinner and some relaxation.
Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking and Habituation
You shall have an early morning breakfast, thereafter; go for chimpanzee tracking where you will interface with chimpanzees at close range and also interact with other primates like the L’hoest monkey, black and white clonus monkeys among others. The guide will also explain more about the flora and fauna.

Go for lunch at the hotel and opt to do a community walk and learn more about the community culture or proceed for Habituation and retire at the lodge for dinner and overnight.


Day 3: Cultural walk enroute Kampala
Together with our guide you will engage in a community walk along Bigodi swamp where you will learn more about cultural activities like weaving, how to prepare local food, cultural dances among other activities then embark on the journey to Kampala or head to Semliki National Park for a more wildlife tour and birding.
