YOUR 3 DAYS DETAILED ITENERARY
Day 1: Pick up for Bwindi impenetrable national park.
The trip starts in Kampala with a pick up from the hotel you slept. Our knowledgeable driver guide takes you through the whole trip and then sets off to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park. Travelling from Kampala to Bwindi is roughly takes 7-8 hours, of a comfortable ride enjoying the beautiful scenery.
Have a stopover at the Uganda equator for pictures and the water experiment. Another stop will be in Mbarara town for lunch; then proceed straight to the park, arriving in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Gorilla tracking plus Batwa community tour.
After an early morning heavy breakfast, transfer to Bwindi impenetrable National Park headquarters for a briefing by a ranger guide on what to and what not to do during the gorilla trekking experience. After briefing you will hike into the forest looking for the location of these amazing apes, this may take few hours or even a full day depending on the location of the apes.
The activity is strenuous and may require average physical fitness, walking sticks or consider hiring porters to help in carrying heavy luggage.
When you find the mountain gorillas, you will spend a magical one hour with them while taking pictures for memories. It is a worthwhile adventure and so humbling to stand a few meters as you watch these sought after primates as they eat, feed their young ones and their day to day activities in their natural habitat.
After lunch and some relaxation, you will visit the Batwa pygmies’ community; who live in the forest; they are known to be the first inhabitants of the impenetrable forest before they were resettled from inside the park. You will have a close contact with them and they will perform their traditional dances and songs; and there after you shall head back to hotel for dinner and relaxation.
Day 3: Leave for Kampala
After a cheerful morning breakfast, you will transfer back to Kampala via the Uganda Equator in Kayabwe where you will an opportunity to take photographs standing in two different hemispheres at the same time and the local water experiment that proves that the earth splits-up-into two hemispheres that’s the north and the south hemisphere and lunch enroute.
